Today we took Grace on her first picnic. It was so nice out side. There was a cool breeze that made it so it wasn't to hot. Cole came with us and really enjoyed being out. After Chris grilled for us and we all ate we decided to go for a walk. I think being outside tired everyone out. Cole has been sleeping most of the time this afternoon after getting back and Grace has taken a couple naps already.
I can't believe it, we have posted new blogs 3 days in a row. I don't think we have done that since Grace was first born. I guess it helps when i have been off work. We have had a very nice and fun weekend after the crazy storm friday night.

Well we survived the 10-15 minute storm friday evening. We had just picked up Grace from daycare and pulled into the carport at home when it started to hail and in matters of seconds the wind pickup to 80mph, rain was hard and fast, and the hail came faster and bigger. It really looked like we were in a tornado. As it settled down we could see lots of hail in piles on the ground, leaves every where, and our fence was leaning. When it was finally safe to get out of the truck and go in side we found out we had no electricity. Good thing this happen early enough in the evening that we had the day light to be able to see inside. We sat in the living room on the floor with Grace and listen to the radio to hear about all the damage in the area. Our street in front of our house was flooded. It was about 3 hours later when it started to get dark and we still had no electricity we decide to drive across town to Crystal's parents house, who had electricity, to stay the night because we were not sure when we were going to get electricity again.
Today when we got home we decided to get things cleaned up around the house. More then anything we had a lot of leaves all over. The side of our house by the drive way has a lot of paint chipped off. We also have a leaning fence to fix. We did find out from a neighbor that our electricity was restored a little after 10 p.m. last night.
Tonight we got to go hang out with some friends. We went over to Mike and Joan's house for the last time before the sign papers to sale their house. Also to hang out with them before they go to Mexico to get married.

Surgery went well on Monday for me. My gallbladder was removed with out any problems. Now more then anything i am tired. I have a 20 lbs weight restriction. So even though Grace doesn't quit weigh 20 lbs. we have been on the safe side and just had me not lift her. That has been hard for me because i just want to pick up my little Gracie. Chris has been really good taking care of me. Chris took off Monday thru Wednesday so he could help me if i needed anything. Grace has been at daycare the last two days since Chris went back to work. So it has just been Cole and i at home laying around sleeping. It is a good thing Cole is so good at just sleeping and snuggling, just what i have needed. I also have to say thank you to all my wonderful family and friends. Thank you to everyone who has come to see me, called, sent cards, brought food and gifts. I greatly appreciate everyones thoughtfulness and kindness.

Who me.....i could never do anything wrong.

Grace what are you doing show off your belly? I don't think dad approves.

What a cute little harley chic!
Grace really likes these balls, they fit so well in her hands.
Cole and Grace trying to play together.
Look....Grace showing off her one tooth.
Happy girl as usual. She just makes us laugh.

Today Grace turned 8 months old. Time is flying . Grace is continuing to do lots of new fun things. Lets see.....she claps her hands together, starting to wave by moving her fingers up and down, she is pulling her self up if you hang on to her hands and she is attempting to use other objects to pull her self up, she scoots on her butt ( this girl is never going to crawl), and she rolled over from her back to her tummy, so now she can roll both ways. Oh yeah she likes to say "Da Da Da". At times it seems like she is associating the word to her daddy but doesn't always say it if Chris comes in to the room.
This last weekend was fun, ok not all of it. It was fun that Chris's family was in town and Chris got to celebrate his first father's day. About father's day, i don't think Chris will ever forget, he got to spend part of it in the emergency room. Thank God that his family was here to help out. Sunday afternoon till evening Chris and i were in the emergency room for me. I was in a lot of pain and got sick, after two hours of being in pain Chris decided to take me in to the ER. So to make a long story short after spending five hours in the ER we found out that my gallbladder is full of stones. Now after visiting with a surgeon today i will be having surgery on Monday to have my gallbladder removed.
As you can all see our life is always and continues to be full of excitement and never dull. Oh by the way we can't forget our wonderful dog Cole. He is doing well and seems to not be as depressed right now. Cole has started to play with his toys again. Also he wants to play with Grace and Grace wants to play with him. But what the two of them don't know is Grace is not big enough for that yet.
