Gracie trying to get Papa Harley's hair.

I know you all won't believe this.....little miss Grace turned 6 months old this last Saturday. She is getting so big. One of the new things Grace can do is sit without support until she starts rocking or she starts leaning over because she is tired of holding her self up. The one thing Grace still won't do is roll over. She teases us and gets her self on her side with the leg over and then she rolls back to her back. I think this girl is going to skip crawling and go straight to walking. Grace now eats solid foods. She eats all kinds of fruit and vegetables, she really likes her food. The other thing new for all of us is that Grace is going to daycare now three times a week. Last week was her first week at Little Hands daycare center, which is not quit 2 blocks away. Daddy takes her there in the morning and mommy picks her up. When it is nice I walk there with the stroller and pick her up. Mommy has been making a big deal the last few weeks that she would be going to daycare for the first time and daddy thought that it was no big deal until he dropped her off the first day. Today was Grace's 6 month well baby check up. So again she had to get some shots. She did really well, just cried with injection and then she was fine. Grace is now 16lbs 2oz and 25 1/4 inches long. She is 51 percentile on the weight but only 29 percentile on the height. The other thing we found out at the doctors today is that she has a ear infection in the right ear. We didn't even know because she hadn't acted like there was anything wrong. Grace will get to take Amoxicillin for the next 10 days and then go back in a month to see her doctor. Grace has also been teething, we can feel at least one tooth trying to break through. Grace continues to amaze us everyday!

"Mmmmm.....these toes taste really good."

Grace went on her first vacation to Baraboo, WI with mommy, grandma and papa Juhl. Yep, we left daddy and Cole at home to hang by their selves for almost a week. We did miss the boys and wish they could of came with us. The vacation started out rough because mommy woke up with a sore throat and a temp of 100.6, so we took her to the doctors to find out she had tonsilitis. Mommy felt a little bad for the first couple days and then felt a lot better for the rest of the vacation. We had fun despite all of that. Grace on vacation was able to go to her first waterpark. She really liked the water. Also on vacation Grace started to be able to sit in a sitting position without support for a little bit. We can't believe how strong she is. On the way home we took a different way and stopped in Algona to suprise Grace's Oma, Papa Harley, and Uncle Dustin. It was a lot of fun to suprise them and get to see them. Then we traveled to Ames and spent the night with Grace's great aunt Sandy and uncle Tom. Before we went home from Ames we also stopped to see uncle Wade but he was feeling under the weather. Grace is doing well but teething so she is congested most of the time.
