Staying Inside

Grace is doing well. We still are having good nights and bad nights but i do believe they seem like they are getting better. This last week Chris got to be home for a few hours by himself with Grace and Cole at night for the first time. I think he did just find, we got to get him ready for when mommy goes back to work and will be gone all night three nights a week. Today we stayed home and did not adventure out in the rainy ice. I dressed Grace in a Harley Davidson outfit today for Daddy which he liked very much. The Harley clothes are still a little big for her but she looked cute anyways. I hope everyone is staying warm and staying safe.

Grace's first Thanksgiving!

Grace didn't get to celebrate Thanksgiving just once but three times by the time the weekend is over. We traveled to Algona wednesday night to be with Chris's family for a few days and celebrate Thanksgiving with his family. We were at Grace's Tic Toc Oma's (Great Grandma) house on Thanksgiving day. She was very happy to get meet little Grace. While in Algona Grace did a lot of firsts. She had her first bath in a kitchen sink, not just mom doing the sponge bath thing. She sat on her first harley davidson motorcycle. She had her first bottle, Chris got to feed her for the first time, which he loved. One other first was Grace's first smile or should i say lots of smiles. This was lots of fun for all of us that was there especially her mommy because she was focusing in on me and smiling at me while i was talking to her about 8 times. Oh yeah on wednesday before we left it snowed, so it was Grace's first snow. Then today we drove to Denison to Crystal's Grandparents and met her family there to celebrate Thanksgiving and her grandparent's got to meet Grace and her cousin Toree. The great grandparents were enjoying getting to hold the two girls. Oh we can't forget Cole, he was with us and was very good during our visit. Then tomorrow we get to go over to Crystal's parents and celebrate Thanksgiving with her dad's side of the family. What a fun filled Thanksgiving for us. We have had lots of fun visiting family.

Grace 1 month old!

Grace is one month old today. Wow where did the last month go. She is so amazing and we are enjoying having her around even though she keeps us up at night and we don't get a lot of sleep. Grace was really good to mommy and daddy last night. She went to sleep at 1:30 a.m. and slept till 7:30 a.m. It was very nice to get that many hours of sleep all at once.
This last weekend we had a fun filled weekend. We went and got Grace's pictures taken at Sears. Grace got to go meet Santa and have her picture taken with him. That was a lot of fun and reminded us of when we were little. Saturday afternoon we went out to lunch with some friends, it was nice to go out. Sunday we went to Ankeny for a Baptism and got to spend the day with Chris's family and Grace got to meet her cousin Ashleigh. Plus proud Harley papa got to hold both of his granddaughters. It was a lot of fun.

4 weeks old!

I can't believe it has been already 4 weeks since we brought are little Grace into the world. What a little bundle of joy. Grace has been doing well. We have found that she is fussy at the same time every night, the time we want to go to bed. So we just deal with her being fussy because we now know there isn't anything we can really do but wait for her to be done. Then we can go to bed. Some nights go well and some nights still don't go well. Welcome to parenthood for us. Oh by the way she is a quick learner, she is already talking on the phone, using the remote, and playing video games, lol.

More pictures from the weekend!

First big trip!

This last weekend was Grace's first big trip. We went to South Dakota to visit the Mosel's with Crystal's parents. Crystal's sister had her baby on Nov. 7th so we went to meet the new addition to the family. Plus Grace got to meet her Aunt Teena, uncle Christoph, cousin Jonah and new cousin Toree. It was a long trip but Grace did really well being in the car for over 5 hours. We just made lots of stops along the way. It was a nice weekend. We really suprised Crystal's sister, she had no idea that we were coming with Grace. As you can see we have some really proud grandparents.

Making it through another day!

It seems like little Grace has her nights and days messed up. That might be her moms fault because she works nights. She wants to be more awake at night when we are ready to go to bed. At about 10:30 p.m. she wakes up and is awake until about midnight, one, two o'clock in the morning. She is usually kind of fussy at that time and all she wants is to eat and be held.
